I found these two images in my collection and forgot that I had done them. Year Of The Dragon (Exclusives)

“Tai Chi”

Sunday, 29th January 2012 was the celebrations on the Chinese New Year, The Year Of The Dragon. A year considered to be very lucky and favourable in the Chinese calendar.

I was in Manchester that day and captured a few images of the events. There was a Tai Chi demonstration, but by a primarilry white group. In fact, the days celebrations were conducted by a larger contigant of English people than I was expecting.

Later, the Dragon was unleashed on the city…

This is a portrait that I like, a lot. Besides the subject, I chose to desaturated her skin tone and bring back the colour of her hair band.

Standing Blue

This was a simple image taken in Hope Park, Keswick, nestled deep in the Lake District, and even though it may appear as if it has received some extensive work, it hasn’t. The contrast and colour have been ramped up etc, and slight motion blur added, but to me, the original image’s integrity has be preserved perfectly.

Framed Passport

The story begins when this lad, my eldest stepson, Wayne, decides to throw a ball down the stairs which resulted in the breaking of a picture frame. The up shot of this, pardon the pun, was that the remains of this frame became used as a photographic prop, one which helped to produce this image which I entitled “Passport Photo”.

 Thanks Wayne! (And the rest of the kids who helped to make this happen!
