Portrait: Timid

Portrait: Timid, originally uploaded by nEoPOL.

This is a portrait that I like, a lot. Besides the subject, I chose to desaturated her skin tone and bring back the colour of her hair band.

Prints are available of all my work which appears on Flickr or any other of my sites (with the exception of exclusively licensed works) so please, feel free to enquire via Message etc… for pricing and availably.

Standing Blue

Standing Blue, originally uploaded by nEoPOL.

This was a simple image taken in Hope Park, Keswick, nestled deep in the Lake District, and even though it may appear as if it has received some extensive work, it hasn’t. The contrast and colour have been ramped up etc, and slight motion blur added, but to me, the original image’s integrity has be preserved perfectly.

Framed Passport

The story begins when this lad, my eldest stepson, Wayne, decides to throw a ball down the stairs which resulted in the breaking of a picture frame. The up shot of this, pardon the pun, was that the remains of this frame became used as a photographic prop, one which helped to produce this image which I entitled “Passport Photo”.

Thanks Wayne! (And the rest of the kids who helped to make this happen! ;-)

Framed Prints Available

Faded Fuschia, originally uploaded by nEoPOL.

After 900 images over just under 6 years of online photography, I will finally be offering framed prints for sale.

I’m still working on the final sales structure and pricing etc… but soon I intend to offer a large range of prints, with a variety of framing options, including canvas and posters as soon apossible at competative prices.

But whilst this is moving forward, if anyone would like to enquire about framed ptints, then feel free to contact me via email at neopol313@msn.com.

“Faded Fuschia” is my latest image and one which is little more experimental in it’s colour and tone. I’ve also used a different frame/border than normal.

Nature Style – 100 & counting

Nature Style, originally uploaded by nEoPOL.

Posted on Flickr less than two day ago, this picture has already reached 100 hits.

A simple image of a thistle, taken outside the home of poet William Wordsworth, in Grasmere, The Lake District, has been adjusted, just a tad and it would seem to great effect.

Either way, it seem to be popular and I’m proud of this piece. As with all photographs, the ultimate test is whether or not you enjoy looking at it and I actually do.

Flickr’s 900th

Smooth Flow, originally uploaded by nEoPOL.

Smooth Flow

This is my 900th upload to Flickr since 10th September 2005

An image of Stock Ghyll Force, in Ambleside, The Lake District. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending your viewpoint, this was taken in the midst of a torrential rain storm, so my efforts to achieve a smooth exposure where thwarted. The plus point though is that with all that rain, well it had to go somewhere so the waterfall was flowing beautifully. An amazing sight in the real life, that’s for sure…
