Showcase: Sparkle978

I would just like to take a moment to showcase a couple of images from my other half, Sparkle978. She has been taking pictures for years but has only just realise that she’s been taking some cracking images. Well, she doesn’t know but the rest of us do!

This is a standard swan image, but the capture is superb in my opinion.

Both these images were taken with the Kodak Z740, and richness of the images is first rate, but the framing helps too!

Round Up 2009

Happy New Year 2009! (Sorry I’m Late!)

I haven’t posted much in past few weeks, with Christmas and other commitments etc taking up a lot of my time, but I’m back now! So, to bring in the New Year, I’m starting off with my 700th Flickr picture, with was posted yesterday.

“Orange Spring”

I would also like to take another look at what is rapidly becoming my second must successful image so far. Whilst the eponymous “Face In The Flame” is heading for 11,000 views, “Fire & Smoke” is rapidly picking up pace and beginning to catch out flaming head up!

Blue Drop @ 100

“Blue Drop” was taken back at the end of April and after a flying start, many comments, 9 favourites and fair few hits has settled down.

This is one of favourites and shows a progression in both my macro and droplet photography.

Taken with my Nikon D40, 55mm, F/5.6

 

A few weeks later, I followed this up with one of it’s many companion flowers fully opened.
